The University of Eastern Finland, recognized as the most multidisciplinary university in the nation, leverages its strength in interdisciplinary research and education to address global challenges and foster a sustainable future. With research ranked among the best worldwide across various fields, the university provides educational opportunities in nearly 100 major subjects, effectively training experts equipped to meet the evolving demands of the labor market. Established in 2010 through the merger of the University of Joensuu and the University of Kuopio, the university consists of four faculties: the Philosophical Faculty, the Faculty of Science, Forestry and Technology, the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies, with campuses situated in Joensuu and Kuopio.
